Having recently been recognised as Yorkshire’s fastest growing company in the region’s Fastest 50 Award - compiled by UK Top 100 law firm Ward Hadaway – Pure Retirement has continued its ongoing expansion via the recruitment of a further 24 members to its continually expanding team.
Pure’s growth echoes wider industry trends, with the key statistics from the ERC’s Spring 2018 market report including equity release attracting twice as many customers as five years ago (with annual growth exceeding the entire market size in 2010 and 2011) and the sector’s 34% rise in customer numbers outpacing growth in other areas of the mortgage industry.
By growing its workforce, Pure aims to continue to provide a first class service to both advisers and clients alike, with a core focus on building its face to face distribution team to better serve and support advisers at every step of the process.
As part of this, Jane Mullan has recently come on board as BDM for the South East, where her experience in relationship management will not only be an asset to the region but also means the company now has a team of three BDMs offering national-level coverage and support to brokers wanting to learn further about equity release in general and the Pure proposition specifically.
Speaking about her decision to join Pure, Jane says that "I am so pleased that Pure and I crossed paths. Their culture is something that really resonates with me. They truly are all about people and I am so excited to be a part of this growing company in such a vibrant market."
Additionally, Pure have also created three new relationship management positions, based out of their Leeds head office. Expressly intended to help brokers further and give them the support they require, it’s a move – like the wider and ongoing expansion strategy – that stemmed from market feedback, as explained by Pure’s Head of Distribution Chris Flowers:
"We recently asked for feedback on the service we provide" he details, adding that "while we found it was all positive, we found the brokers prefer to have the support of BDMs in the field alongside someone in the office to support them – therefore we have listened and added to that".
"It’s exciting times at Pure Retirement and I’m delighted with the team we are building."
